Happy BC Day

We have been having very hot weather (for us here in the Pacific Northwest) and so I have been hiding in my basement, sewing and trying to catch up on all my various projects.

On Thursday, a good friend and I took 20 Quilts of Valour to a wonderful location, Honour House and I will share photos as soon as possible.  Honour house is a wonderful heritage house in New Westminster that has been completed renovated to provide 10 beds for accomodation for the Canadian Military personnel as well as first responders that need a place to stay while in Vancouver while they are getting treatment.  They were thrilled to have quilts to hand out to their guests.

And more quilts are being given to CFB Chilliwack this week so my cupboards are bare.   I have been busy quilting some of the tops that have been donated to this worthy cause.

This quilt was made by Susan and I quilted and bound it for her. Thank you Susan!

And then I ran out of pillowcases for the quilts so got some of those made.

And since my cupboards will be empty this week and I won't have any quilts on hand for Quilts of Valour, I started another quilt using some of the maple leaf blocks that I have on hand.

I am in the process of quilting another donated quilt top and binding a couple of others so will catch up when I have my projects finished.
